Let's Play Anna - Chapter 7

Three years later

"Good morning, Lady Anna. Did you sleep well? It snowed a little last night," says Edith as she makes me breakfast. For the past three years, she's lived with me at Blumiere's request. She's like a grandma to me, but I almost won't need her anymore. I'm turning eighteen soon, and then I'll only need Blumiere. The castle staff already calls me by the title I'd have when I marry him, but I don't mind.

"Good morning, Edith. I did sleep well, and I hope we have a white Christmas this year," I say with a smile. My dogs start barking, letting me know someone's here. I hope it's Blumiere. Now that he's getting older, it's getting harder for him to come see me everyday. Chy and Mimi and the others can practically come whenever they want, and Mimi even takes me to school (since she can teleport and I can't).

"Good morning, m'lady," Blumiere says with a grin as he walks into the room I'm in. Edith gives us a knowing smile and leaves us alone as she always does. "Sorry I couldn't visit earlier."

"It's okay," I reply before reaching up to kiss him. He holds me against him for a while, then pulls away.

"I have to go," he says quietly. "But tomorrow, I have nothing to do but spend time with you."

"I can be patient!"

"No you can't." Mimi invites herself in. "Hi Blumiere."

"Morning, Mimi," Blumiere says, not releasing his arms from around my waist. "Bye Anna." He kisses me quickly goodbye, then teleports away.

"Bye Blumiere," I say after he's gone.

"Oh, don't be so blue." Mimi rests her elbow on my shoulder, which is pretty weird since I'm taller than her. "C'mon, let's go bug Chy all day."

I wake up on Chy's couch the next morning. She's slumped over beside me, and I remember a crazy video game tournament that Dimmy won. But he cheated with Ben, so I say I won.

As soon as I roll over to face the cushions, I feel Blumiere's mind enter the room. "Found you," he says as he picks me up and throws me over his shoulder. I giggle and try not to slap my face against his back.

"Shut up," Chy groans as she rubs her eyes.

"Bye Chy!" I say loudly before Blumiere teleports us. "Tell Dimmy I know he cheated last night!"

Dimmy shouts "Hey!" from his bedroom, and I giggle more before we're gone.

"He really did cheat," I say when Blumiere sets me down in my room.

"I believe you over him," he laughs. "Now what do you want to do today?"

I think for a while about what all we can do. We can do almost everything because of Blumiere's wide expanse of power and money. "Anything," I sigh as I wrap my arms around his torso and rest my head against his chest. "I just want to be with you."

He starts listing options in his head, and I keep shaking my head. One of them is very tempting, but then he thinks of the cross necklace I still wear and how I want to honor what my mom wanted for me. The picture of the bed disappears without me needing to shake my head. Finally we settle on one. Blumiere teleports us to an ice skating rink near my school while flashing warmer clothes on both of us. He hands me a pair of already-broken-into skates so that I don't have to use rentals. That's Blumiere for you. Making everything better for me. Anyway, as I quickly find out, Blumiere put magic on them to make me terrible at ice skating.

I'm left clutching onto him for support as we skate the same circles over and over. He laughs at me for a while, but then takes the magic off of them. I can skate faster than he can now, which makes me take off without him. After a few laps of not being able to catch up, he does something to make us the only two here, then catches up to me while I'm looking around. We chase each other while alone on the ice for a while until I run into someone who's not Blumiere.

Looking around, I see that all eight of us are here. And that I ran into BJ. I slide away and apologize, my face burning as red as his hair, but he still looks angry. "BJ, don't be mean," Chy says as she grabs his arm and pulls him along the ice. While we spin the same circles, I look at everyone and remind myself that these seven people are the best seven people I know. They'd probably all slap me for being to sappy, but I can't help it. Even when we argue and fight (even physically), we all end up smiling.

"Anna!" Blumiere shouts right before I get slammed from behind. Dimmy had been showing off and skating backwards when he hit me and sent me flying forward.

"Get off me!" I say with a laugh as Dimmy gets comfortable on top of me.

Blumiere teleports Dimmy over to Lemmy where she grabs his arm and pulls him to the other side of the rink. I'm the only submissive girl here. Mimi and Lemmy are both pretty dominant, and who knows what Chy and BJ are like. I barely know, and I'm psychic.

"Anna, I think your boyfriend wants you," Mimi says with a grin. I look over to see him leaning against the wall of the rink. Mimi kicks his legs out from under him, making him fall. I try to suppress my giggling, but Blumiere looks at me, and I know what he's thinking before he thinks it. I've gotten good at reading these seven people over the past four years.

"We're friends with crazy people," Blumiere whispers in my ear after teleporting behind me. He stretches over and kisses my cheek, then waves. "Goodbye crazy people!"

I'm giggling long after we've left the rink, so Blumiere gives me a goodbye kiss to shut me up. "I love you," I sigh when he pulls away.

He holds me as long as he can. I'm about to ask if something's wrong when he kisses my forehead. "I love you too, Anna."
